Hey SMF For Free,
I've set up a little IRC channel for us.

It's not an "official" IRC channel, nor is it a support channel for SMF For Free. So don't expect too much from me. It's just a channel for some of us to chat in.

For People Familiar with IRC:
Server: irc.windfyre.net
Room: #smfforfree

If you have never used IRC before:
Here is a simple way to get onto the chat channel
http://redmilkcrate.com/smfchat/
Note: /nick newnick changes your nickname.

I am the only person staffing the channel, so I expect respect from you all at least. Ya know, just chat nicely.

Hey for all of those that don't know what the heck to do to get into this goto http://www.mibbit.com (if you don't have IRC) click server, paste irc.windfyre.net in where it says "server", type your nickname, change the channel to #smfforfree and click go. Thats all.

Ahh, I just set up a PJIRC application for everybody here.

If PJIRC doesn't work(which sometimes it doesn't), what Sharp is linking you all too might work better Wink

You can't get one for an SMFForFree account. Crasy owns his own website with an SMF forum which is not provided by SMFForFree. The IRC is a separate page from his forum, and is not directly related to SMF other than the topic.

You can actually use this on your forums in a way.
Are you familiar with IRC?

Best thing you can do is use the webpage editor to create a new page.
http://www.mibbit.com/ provides easy to use scripts for forums like us. Login, create a script.

A great server to host your chat on is irc.windfyre.net. Good guys over there. Small server, they know how to look after you.
