For some reason when I add the names for mods under boards nothing happens. They can't mod the board.  I know it's something I'm doing wrong, but I can't figure it out. Do I have to change permissions somewhere?

go to Admin CP > Permissions > modify the Moderator Group and check what permissions you have set for that group.

So I can't just add their names into the board, I actually have to create a membergroup?

*edit

I just had to change the local/global settings. Thanks

The "Moderator" group is already there. In addition to inserting their name on that particular board, you also need to set that groups permissions. If you dont, they cant moderate the board.

When I changed the settings for the board from local to global it allowed me to just add their name and they can mod the board. I didn't have to add them to a member group.

no no no.. I wasnt saying you needed to add them to that membergroup - listing their name as the moderator on the board page puts them in that group automatically. What I was saying was, you still have to set the permissions of that group so that they "can" moderate it. Changing the settings from global to local doesnt set them for you, it just changes how you access the group to modify it.  The permissions for that group need to be set just like all your other groups Wink. The default settings for that group are probably set up the way you want them, but its always good practice to double check.  Smiley
