What if I wanted...
« on: September 18, 2006, 11:02:02 am »
A backup of my board.  Just my board.  In my hand.  Could that be done?  Not saying I do, just 'if'.   :)

Nonono.  I'm not looking for a freebie.  I'm wondering what that would entail. :)

on the second post he answered it...its the same as your question...is a back up possible...

Base price is $20 plus $1 per 100 posts.

So if you have a forum with 1000 posts total cost would be $30.

SMF For Free

as was stated above...yes  fer a price.....to me thats no freebee for back up  you pay for that.

His later post said this...

I haven't ever created an sql file for a forum before. I would need the board url to come up with price.

I think what Spirit is saying is that it cost is not the issue at this time - just IF it can be done if needed.

She, and I as well, is just looking for a bit of clarification. :)

Thank you crazyandconfused and DC for digging up that information and taking the time to respond.

Further to what Lyndsay has mentioned, in SMFFF's post he says he hasn't done it before.  I don't actually need one now, I am just wondering if he was able to figure it out, and therefore if he would be able to do one for us should we happen to need it, kwim?  No biggie, but it would be great to hear that he could.

The only reason this is a question for us is because we received ZERO service, communication, assistance, ANYTHING from our last host, so we are just hoping things are as awesome here as they seem so far.  :)
