Wheneva i change any detail like my username i get an email from my forums tat my password is changed to sumthin rrandom like <sdifhdsfbjsdhu>

its relly anoyyin n i cant access my admin pane

I think that random password is supposed to be replaced with a password of your choice after you change your username .. but not sure.

Exactly Right Songbird. After you've changed your user name you need to have this number and letter password. Best Thing to do is type in your username and then you're new password. Then go into you're profile. Type In you new password (twice) And Then type you'ew number and letter password. Then you should have it!

maybe you changed some options... because that is not the default

So that a moderator or someone cannot change your username without you knowing.

If they could do that they could essentially take over your forum.

There are lots of meaures like that to ensure you never lose your entire forum to "evil forces" lol
Like no one can delete the makers account or demote them

i changed my username at my friend's forum and it dint send me a mail sayin my passwrd has changed! :o

now i cant log in!
