Not able to delete images

Every now and then I go through older archived threads and delete photos where members used the forums photo hosting option so as to recoup the attachments space.

For some reason when I am trying to do it this evening, when I go to "modify" the post, and "uncheck" the images I get this error message when I try to "save" :

The following error or errors occurred while posting this message:
The letters you typed don't match the letters that were shown in the picture. 

Help ?  :o

Are you referring to the captcha?

erm.  Ive never seen that error before so not sure whats up with that.
edit: just saw Nutz's post.. if its the Captcha you can disable that via Posts and Topics in Admin.

Have you tried removing old attachments via your Admin Panel > Attachments and Avatars > File Maintenance?

Under "File Attachment Options" on that page you can Remove attachments older than X amount of  days without having to go thru your archived threads.

-  or click Browse files on the Attachments and Avatars page...... click the Date column to organize them by date and delete them there...  would be quicker for you?

I do not see anything that says captcha within the Posts and Topics in Admin...

For what ever reason I was able to start deleting images.. Did quite a few and then that error message started showing up again..

I don't want to set for auto removal for older than X amount of days, because I dont want all removed. Mostly just want older images removed from two particular boards.

Any way.. For now was able to remove a whole bunch.. Not sure what is up with the error, but good for another couple months for now. Have 99438.05 KB freed up again..

I wonder if there is a way to set for auto removal older than X amount of days for specific boards ? If so could do that for the two pic heavy boards.

If you are getting the Spam Check when you edit their posts (have to do the Captcha thing) - At Admin > Posts and Topics look for:  Disable Spam Check for posts

No.. there aren't settings for removing them in specific Boards, sorry
