our site has an SMF forum that i'd like to migrate over. Im not sure if you have any file size limits, if so,  i need to know so i can clean up the attachments folder since thats probably the biggest culprit. Can someone let me in on the process of getting the files migrated over?

old site is www.squirrelhaters.net/forums

new forum is also called squirrelhaters, although in the future, we will have a new domain name, squirrelhatersgroup.net

File size limits I can import existing attachments. Normally if you have a forum we limit to it I belive 10megs. But I can bump it up to 100megs if you transfer.

The process to transfer we require the MySQL database exported for SMF complete format in order to import.

We also do support custom domains under Admin -> Domain Manager once the forum is setup.

well i would probably just have to wipe out our attachments folder then, because its over 6 gigs as is.  just with attachments from January. We have been trying to get users to have their pics hosted elsewhere and just post the url.

i just checked and our smf database, and as a gz file, it is 180 Mb. Is there a way to lower its size? Our forum was created back in 2008 i believe, so it may could use a good trimming.

i also have some questions about your ultimate package, and if that supports custom software running from the forums root? like Perl.

The database size is fine we have no limits on that.

Ultimate package is just all features/addons unlocked and no ads all.  Does not support custom forum software/or hosting in general.
