SMF For Free Support Forum

This is similiar to the question by Tash. I have a guest who is managing to post on my forum. The only permissions I have allowed for guests is search and links and view obviously. How is this happening ?

I had the same problem.  Took me a while to find the hole.  Check all your boards that allow guests.  Make sure they are read only.  I would love to have guests post but once these spammers find your board they don't stop.  I finally had to limit guests to two boards, the one I use in the portal(now read only)and my Welcome board with the rules and how to get started on the forum.

Also if you make your forum so no one can delete accounts but the Admin you can try blocking the ip addresses.
