At the bottom, it always says if someone has edited a post. But lets say a moderator edits it, it should have another text box where it says:
Reason for editing: [moderator puts reason here]

Just a request, I see this on alot of other forums, if its on here already, please tell me how I can get it, I've explored all around smfforfree and havent seen anything like this. Thanks in advance!

Request has been finished!

The moderator could add something like this at the bottom of the post.

Code:
[size=9px]Reason for editing: !@$#$^#$# %@#%$@!#$[/size]

It would look like this-
Reason for editing: !@$#$^#$# %@#%$@!#$

Ya thats what you would have to do. But I think Agent Moose could tweak his code to add a box like you wanted. We'll just have to wait and see if he posts here and see what he says.

If it helps anyone, I made an example of what I had in mind, here it is. Look near the bottm where it says  "« Last Edit: Today at 07:58:48 am by Andrew »" I put it in yellow, but I imagine it being the same color as the forum background, lol

Good luck Agent Moose! Hope this helps you Smiley

This isn't really possible without using massive scripting, and scripting can be manipulated on the client-side, so users could potentially change the edit reason on any post.

The only way to make this script work would be to have it permission-riden with PHP. But we can't alter the PHP source on SMF For Free.

You'll be disappointed, but I can safely say this isn't something that can be done easily.
