what's a code to change the pics in the forum, such as, "sticky" or "locked" topics

Some of the pics can be changed in Manage Styles > Customize Images.
Not all of them on that page can be changed.   You'll have to test them to find out.

For the ones that cant you can use this:
Swap Images Generator and Guide
   
Er please use a larger font as that is extremely hard to read.

yes.. you can use it for most all graphics on the forum..  edited my post though..  make sure to read back.
