well you can lock the topic, just gotothe topic and click on it... athen scrool to the bottem and then click lock topic =]

As Dusty said he wants to lock the Category.

There is no way internal to the forum software to do that.

YOu have two choices really.

This ones not EXACTLY what you want but thru Admin would be all you can do:

When you do not want that category used go to Boards, Modify the Board you do not want seen.    Uncheck everyone from it.
Then they will not SEE it.   If you do so to all Boards in that Category they will not see the Category.

The other choice is wait to see if Agent Moose or someone else can come up with a code that would do that for you.
