When my members are playing games....they are discovering on some games when they reach a certain score it wont record any higher they get a message....Invalid request invariable....can someone please tell me what that means....
Just a few thoughts on this. It could be a bug within the game itself and if so there wouldnt be anything SMF could do about it as he does not make the games nor the Arcade Mod.
Normally any msgs you get when trying to score a game/or being unable to score a game are due to a few things.
1. Change Cheating Check mode to Basic - this normally stops the msgs we have seen
2. Make sure you / your members have the newest version of Flash and Java installed on your computers. Ive seen people have a problem saving scores just because they have a very old version of Adobe Flash player on their system. The correct way to update your flash and java is to totally uninstall them, reboot your computer, then reinstall them. Do this one at a time - not both at once. The directions for how to do it are located under the support links for both of them at the website for them. One of them has an uninstaller you can download to make sure you have totally uninstalled it. Just installnig the new version doesnt always work as Windows doesnt always recognize it and winds up using the older version.
I would go grab the llinks for ya but Im on a really slow connection/computer again today and its horrid trying to do most everything.
Try those things and see if it helps... if not it "could" be, as I said, an internal error with either the Arcade or some of the games themselves.
