I have flagged this for SMF's attention.  YankeesDude, if you are getting the same error message, we need your forum url.

I just wanted to "bump" this... I'm still having this issue.

For more details:

When I open my forum homepage, I click on "admin" I put in my password and then I click on "smilies and message icons" under the "forum" tab on the left menu.

From there I click on "edit message icons" on the top menu. Then, I click on "add new icon" and an error comes up and says:

Database Error
Unknown column 'b.memberGroups' in 'where clause'
File: C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SMFFORFREE2\Sources\ManageSmileys.php
Line: 1129

Is there any outlook on when/if this will be fixed? This issue has been going on since may.

melisamarie hi
Although you shouldnt ever get those type of error messages and we do need to know when you do I should let you know that you can not add other message icons .    That section IS there but the only thing you would be able to do with it at all would be to type in the exact filenames of the gif files that exist in the default theme.  (wink.gif, xx.gif, thumbsup.gif etc)   You can't put in a url there.      You can edit them (by clicking modify next to them) but about all you can do is change the tooltip/descripton for them.

Ohhh, ok. What I was wanting to do is change the "picture" of the "new posts/ no new posts" thingy. Like, instead of it being that triangle teeter totter thing, I wanted to put a little full coffee cup, and an empty coffee cup... So, that can't be done? the pic changing?

Yes you can do that  Smiley
Do that in Admin > Manage Styles > Customize Images
